A group of four of us set off from Richmond on Sunday around noon, heading east toward Jamestown on a meandering route with offshoots to either side of Route 5.
When we reached Charles City Courthouse, two of our friends doubled-back to town and Lory and I continued toward the destination, stopping at
Jamestown Pie Company for lunch.
Our final destination was the marshy loop around
Jamestown Island. Lory had never seen it, so I wanted to show him the uncanny resemblance it had to the Everglades.
